For my card this week I finally got to use the amazingly awesome Flamingo Print Background from The Ton. I embossed it onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold embossing powder. I then heavily blended Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves over the top and left to dry.
From a 110lb Neenah Solar White card base I die cut a Pierced Tag Die by My Favorite Things in the center. On the tag itself I punched a small hole and stamped a sentiment from Short Stacks by Power Poppy stamps in Memento Luxe ink in Lilac Posies using the MISTI. I was then able to double stamp again having edged the sentiment stamp with Delicata Gold to give it a sparkle that matches the Flamingo background. I added some gold twine from my stash.
To finish, I adhered the Flamingo background behind the window I had cut (if you like, you can adhere more white cardstock inside or even patterned paper to cover up the background piece seamlessly for a more finished look). I then adhered the tag using foam tape at a jaunty angle so only a small part of the background peeped through (this is a clean and simple CAS card challenge after all).
We can't wait to see what you come up with go visit the AAA site for more inspiration from the rest of the DT.
Have a wonderful 4th of July tomorrow to all the Americans!!
